Privacy Policy

GoHabit · Last updated: October 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GoHabit (the “App”) and the GoHabit website (the “Website”) handle information. GoHabit is published by Oskar Malinowski (“I”, “me”, “my”), an individual developer based in Poland.

The short version: GoHabit has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Your habits and check-ins are stored only on your device. I do not receive, collect or sell your personal data.

1. Information stored in the App

The App stores the following data locally on your device, in the App’s own database:

This data never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it (see sections 3 and 4). I have no access to it.

2. Information I do not collect

I do not collect your name, e-mail address, location, contacts, photos, advertising identifier or device identifiers. The App does not require an account and does not contain third-party advertising or analytics tools.

3. Backups you create

The “Export backup” feature creates a JSON file containing your habits and check-ins. The file is created on your device and handed to the system share sheet, where you decide where it goes (for example Files, iCloud Drive, e-mail or another app). I do not receive this file. “Import backup” reads a file you select on your device.

4. Images you share

The share feature generates an image of a habit grid on your device. It is passed to the system share sheet, and you choose which app receives it. I do not receive the image.

5. Notifications

If you enable reminders, the App asks for permission to send notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to me or to any server. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

6. Purchases

If you purchase GoHabit Pro, the payment is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). I do not receive your payment details, name or billing address. The App only learns whether a purchase is active, so it can unlock Pro features. Apple and Google handle your purchase data under their own privacy policies.

7. Device backups

Depending on your device settings, your operating system (for example iCloud Backup on iPhone or Google Backup on Android) may include the App’s local data in your device backup. This is controlled by you and the platform provider, not by me.

8. Website

The Website is a static site. It does not use cookies and does not run analytics. Standard web server logs (such as IP address and requested page) may be kept briefly by the hosting provider for security and operation of the site. If this changes, this policy will be updated.

9. Children

The App is a general-audience habit tracker and is not directed at children under 13. Because the App collects no personal data, no information about children is collected.

10. Your rights

Because your data stays on your device, you control it fully: you can edit or delete habits and check-ins in the App, export your data, or delete everything by uninstalling the App. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you also have rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection). As I do not hold your personal data, there is generally nothing for me to provide or delete, but you may contact me at any time with questions or requests.

11. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available at the address where you found it, and the “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected in an updated App Store listing or in the App.
